OCTOBER 2009
31st October is the 305th day of the year, which means from that date there is only 54days to Christmas and 60 remaining to 2010. With that in mind we have great member events in store for our end of year parties. Christmas lunch is on the 20th December this year, our chef has created a terrific menu for you to enjoy, a good opportunity to spend time with your families. New Years Eve we have a night to remember planned for you, with a popular DJ and Live Entertainment, as well as a feast fit for a king. Please check on our Website for more information www.atlanticbeachgolfclub.co.za. During the month of October our club held its Annual Ladies open. I’d like to take this opportunity to thank our ladies for organising such a successful event. Further I’d like to thank all the sponsors, especially Samsung Air and Taylor Made for their terrific prizes. The Ladies managed to raise R12500 for CANSA on the day. WELLDONE LADIES!!!. Thank you also to some of the partners, who were also involved on the day in setting up holes and entertaining at the wet holes. We also celebrated our 9th birthday at our 10th Inaugural Cup celebration, well done to all our prize winners on the day. A special thank you to Alan Shuman of Bells and Clive Goss of the Wimpy for not only sponsoring the burger feast at our halfway, but preparing it for us too. Clive tells me his cooking skills are better than his Golf. For those members who haven’t been to our Friday night Pasta special evening, it’s worth a visit. Not only good value for money at only R35.00 for any Pasta dish, including a variety of breads, we also have LIVE ENTERTAINMENT to keep you entertained, and unwind after a busy week. No cover charge, so bring your friends and family along to join in the fun. From the Sports Centre I would like to welcome all new golf members to the club. Please do not hesitate to call me with any golf related queries you may have. Two of our main events took place in October 2009, the Ladies Open and the Inaugural Cup. They were both well supported and enjoyed by all. Many thanks to all the members and sponsors who contributed towards these events. Your help and assistance is always greatly appreciated. The staff Championship Day took place during October and many thanks to Mr Steve Fishburn for his sponsorship for the day. Congrats to Novellen Phillips, the winner with a fine 75 gross!
The club has been running various specials with regards to green fees and carts. Please check your sms’s with regard to these offers.
