Congratulations
to Pieter Arendse, our Food and Beverage Co-ordinator
and Yolandi Kosmatos, our Admin Manager, for passing the
CMASA Leadership Edge Course which they attended in Oakdale
Durbanville, the last week in May. The course covers a
variety of topics regarding Management to Leadership,
Competencies, Optimizing Productivity and Club Governance
to name a few. WELL DONE to you both! |

Our Ambassador program has been put on hold pending the sale of
the lease of the Club, therefore our Member Focus Group to discuss
our Dress Code Survey as mentioned in the last newsletter, has
been postponed.
Sadly it’s time to say goodbye to our Club Manager Mr Tony
Louw, who has been given a great opportunity to take up the role
of General Manager at Roodepoort Country Club. I’m sure
you’d like to join me in wishing Tony all the best in his
future career.
Please join me in welcoming Teddy Webber back to the Sports Centre
as our Golf Professional at the Club

Manager
It is with sadness that I will be leaving Atlantic
Beach Golf Club. The past three and half years have probably been
the most enjoyable time I have had in my working career at a Golf
Club. I have to thank you the Members for making my job such a
pleasure inspiring me to get up in the morning to come to work.
The friendships I have built up are going to stay with me for
a life time and camaraderie on especially Thursday will be sadly
missed.
Atlantic Beach is a very special Club and as it was said in Complete
Golfer Magazine" a hidden little Gem on the West Coast"
On a positive note I have been offered a position as General
Manager at Roodepoort Country Club. This is a great opportunity
for me, and I'm looking forward to the challenge.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank the Management
and Staff for all their support, I could not have done it without
them, and they all know my Motto "there is no 'I' in TEAM.

- NEW EZIGOLF SYSTEM!! |
We are introducing a new system at the club called EziGolf,
starting on the 1st of July. All members are required to update their
details with the club as soon as possible for the new system. Please
download the form below, complete and fax or email back to us, to
reach us by the latest 15 July 2009.Also note that there is
an Ezigolf Kiosk at the club where members are able to update their
details, make a golf booking, upload their photo, capture handicap
scores and check account balances - all with the click of a button!
This facility will also be available on the internet and each member
will have their unique login and password. Further details about the
EziGolf system will be forwarded to all members shortly.
