We held our first ever Food & Fun Market at Atlantic Beach on Saturday, 24th. There were a few glitches here and there but the support and turn-out by residents and others from the neighbourhood was fantastic. All the littlies came to see Barney at 10h00. Much fun was had with the face-painting and balloon modelling and the jumping castle was a hive of activity.
Unfortunately we didn’t have as many vendors selling delicious food products as we would have liked due to the clash with the Elkanah and Willowbridge markets.
We have decided, going to forward, to hold our Food & Fun Market on a Sunday from 10h00 until 14h00. We hope to have at least 20 carefully selected vendors selling tasty treats and drinks. From Darling Slow Beer, Artisan Breads, Wine, olives, honey, biltong, cold meats and much much more. We also plan to organise something for the older children as well as bringing on board, live music from 12h00 onwards.
Any comments, suggestions or suggested potential vendors, would be welcomed.
